The newest part of our school was opened in 2003. Here the visitor will find workshops, kitchens, a new library, school cafeteria, auditorium, great classrooms and large meeting places where students may spend time working with school subjects or relax. In 2004 the old part of the school was reopened. Both its façade and the inside has been totally rehabilitated.
The staff emphasizes use of ICT in education. Every student is provided with their personal computer, which is used in all school subjects. All hand- ins happens via the ITSLearning platform. All computers are connected to the Internet via ADSL.
As a student at Sørumsand upper secondary school, you'll experience a good social environment. In addition the student will receive training especially suited for him, with his own personal mentor. The mentor will closely follow the student's progress in each subject as well as his development in social skills.
Sørumsand upper secondary school offers general university and college admission certification.
Both the supplementary studies qualifying for higher education, and media and communication provides such qualifications.
We have a great auditorium which. It is equipped with two projectors which gives the audience a feeling of being inside a cinema. The auditorium is also used for presentations of student projects.
The school also provides a great library. It has areas for group studies, magazines and a section specified for teachers.
In addition, the school has a school cafeteria which provides hot dishes every day. Here you may also buy salads, and beverages.
How to get there:
Sørumsand upper secondary school is located just 30 minutes outside Oslo. When you arrive by train or bus, it is only a two- minute walk from the station to our school.
